The Next Horizon

THE FUTURE, UP CLOSE

A different way to understand China: through the cars, robots and ideas changing how we move, work and live.

The Next Horizon brings two worlds into focus. Smart Automotive explores electric vehicles and the factories behind them. Smart AI & Robotics follows intelligent technology into everyday life, from humanoid robots and drones to the devices entering our homes.

Choose the world that interests you most, or bring the two together in a journey shaped around your curiosity.

SMART AUTOMOTIVE

A New Way to Move

A car can tell you a great deal about a country: what people value, how they spend their time, and what they expect technology to do for them.

Explore China’s approach to electric mobility, from the experience inside the vehicle to the precision of the production line. NIO anchors a journey connecting Shanghai and Hefei, bringing the product and the way it is made into the same story.

INTELLIGENCE

In Everyday-life

A robot finding its balance. A drone opening up a new perspective. A device helping two people understand each other.

Explore China’s technology through the things it makes possible. This chapter brings artificial intelligence and robotics into focus through movement, language, work and life at home.

Shanghai and Beijing form the starting framework, with selected extensions shaped around the companies and technologies that interest you most.

EXTEND YOUR JOURNEY

Follow Your Curiosity.

One particular interest can shape the next part of your journey. Explore a different approach to electric mobility, spend more time with robotics, or discover how intelligent technology is finding its place at home.

Each extension is selected around what you want to understand, with time to explore it properly.
